Internal Invoicing in Bookingleaf
Overview
Internal invoicing is a specialized feature in Bookingleaf designed for providers who need to handle invoicing outside of the platform while still maintaining data consistency within Bookingleaf.
What is Internal Invoicing?
Internal invoicing means that invoices created in Bookingleaf will not be sent to customers. This feature is designed for special cases where providers need to invoice customers through external systems or processes while keeping all enrollment and order data organized within Bookingleaf.
How Internal Invoicing Works
When internal invoicing is enabled for your provider account:
Customer Experience
- No invoice delivery: Invoices will not be sent to customers via email
- No customer visibility: Invoices will not be visible to customers in any Bookingleaf app or website
- No download access: Customers cannot download invoices from their accounts
Provider Experience
- Data retention: All invoice data is still created and stored in Bookingleaf
- Payment tracking: Invoices maintain their payment status for internal record-keeping
- External integration: Invoice data can be exported or accessed for external invoicing systems
