Let customers choose between different prices

A course's prices come from the item the course is sold with. Each price on the item is a price category, for example Adult, Child and Student. When the customer enrolls, they choose a price for each participant. The first price is chosen in advance.

To give one particular participant another price, do it when you enroll them yourself. See Give a discount when you enroll someone.

Add the prices to the item

  1. Go to Items. Click Edit item on the item the course is sold with, or Add item for a new one.
  2. Under Prices, click Add price.
  3. Choose Price for: Full course or Single session.
  4. Fill in the Label, for example "Adult" or "Child", and the Price and VAT rate.
  5. Add the other prices the same way.

Put the most common price first, since it is chosen in advance when the customer enrolls.

A price change on the item only applies to what is made afterwards. Courses, sales and order lines that already exist keep their prices.

Choose the item on the course

You choose the item in the course template, under Templates → Course templates. In the Full course sale card, choose the Item. The item decides which prices the customer can choose. For drop-in, do the same in Dropin sale.

On a course that already exists, you see the prices on the Sales tab, under Prices for the full course or Prices per session.

Check that the customer picks the right price

The customer picks the price themselves. To check their choice, for example that whoever picked the child price is a child, switch on approval:

  1. In the course template's Full course sale card, click the Reservation field.
  2. Choose Approval required.

The customer then sends a request instead of adding the course to the cart. The approval applies to every enrollment on the sale, not only to the price.

The requests are on the course's Enrolled tab, under Waiting for you. The row shows the price the customer chose, for example "Adult, 2,600 kr". Click Approve or Reject.

You can't change the price when you approve. If the customer chose the wrong price, click Reject and write which price to choose in the Message to the customer.
