The other parent wants to see the child's lessons

The school registers a child with one parent, usually the one who enrolled first. The other parent can see the child's lessons too, but the school has to set it up. You can't do it yourself in the app.

Why can't I see my child?

If you added your child under Account → Children, that profile only exists on your account. The school doesn't know it's the same child they registered with the other parent. So you see no lessons.

How to get access

Ask the school to add you as a parent of your child. For example:

I'd like to see [child's name]'s lessons in the app. Could you add me as a parent? I use [your email] in Bookingleaf.

The school connects you to your child. If you're not their customer yet, they first add you as a contact and send you a request. You'll then see Connection request from the school the next time you open the app:

  1. Tap the contact with your name and choose Connect to me.
  2. Tap Confirm connections.

Your child's lessons are then under Activities.

Wait for the school's request instead of connecting yourself on the school's web page. If you've added your child to your account, the web page registers your child a second time at the school, and the school has to clean it up.

What will I see?

The same as the other parent about your child's activities: courses, lessons, attendance and, in the app, which horse your child has. You can enroll your child and cancel.

You only see orders and invoices for what you ordered yourself. An invoice belongs to whoever ordered, so what the other parent ordered, only the other parent sees.

Is your child listed twice when you enroll?

That happens if you also added your child to your account. See My child is listed twice when I enroll.

For the school

If the parent has no contact with you, create one with the parent's email first and click Connect to user. The parent gets the request the next time they open the app. If they don't have a Bookingleaf account yet, also click Send sign-up request.

Then open the child's contact and click Add relation under Relations. Choose the parent under Contact, then choose Child. The choice spells it out, for example "Emma is the child of Kari", so you can check that it points the right way. The child then has both parents. If you're asked to set a default parent, pick the one who should be the customer when you enroll the child yourselves.
